The FidusCheck platform is up and running but still being fine tuned. Small inconsistencies and bugs may exist as we continue.

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26/07/2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the FidusCheck websites, store, pre-orders, connected products, FidusAI, scan and library services, marketplace, payment-in-kind and precious-metal credit services, competitions, APIs and related features.

Please read them before placing an order or using a service. Separate product descriptions, finance agreements, promotion rules, marketplace rules, licences or written quotations may also apply. If there is a conflict, the more specific terms normally apply to that feature or transaction, except that your statutory consumer rights are not reduced.

1. Who we are

The website and FidusCheck services are operated by H6B Ventures Ltd, trading as FidusCheck, company number 14685883, registered office 3rd Floor, 45 Albemarle Street, London, England, W1S 4JL. Contact: contact@fiduscheck.com. The registered office is not necessarily a returns address.

References to “FidusCheck”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean H6B Ventures Ltd trading as FidusCheck. References to “you” mean the person or business using the service or placing the order.

2. Scope, consumers and business users

By using a FidusCheck service, creating an account, entering a promotion or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

Some provisions distinguish consumers from business users. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Business users are responsible for assessing whether FidusCheck is suitable for their professional process and for maintaining appropriate procedures, training, insurance and independent verification.

3. Website information and development-stage products

FidusCheck products and services may be under development, pre-production, beta testing, calibration, certification or staged release. Images, demonstrations, sample results, performance descriptions, compatibility information, specifications, accessories, interfaces and timelines may change as development and compliance work continues.

We take reasonable care with website information but do not promise that every description is error-free or continuously current. Before ordering, review the current product page and checkout summary. Material changes to an accepted consumer order will be notified and may give you the option to accept the change or cancel for a refund.

4. Pre-orders, estimates and delays

A pre-order reserves an expected production allocation; it is not a promise that development, certification, manufacture or dispatch will finish on a particular date unless we expressly guarantee that date in writing. Any quarter, month or sequence shown is an estimate based on information then available.

We will provide reasonable updates about material delays. Before dispatch, a consumer may normally cancel a pre-order for a refund, subject to the Refund and Returns Policy and any lawful exception clearly agreed for a genuinely personalised item or immediately supplied digital content. If we cannot supply the product, we may cancel and refund the affected amount.

5. Product specifications, packages and substitutions

Package contents are those stated in the accepted order. We may make minor technical, cosmetic, software, packaging or component changes that do not materially reduce the product’s overall function, safety or value, including changes needed for availability, manufacturing, certification or improvement.

We will not substitute a materially different product or remove a material paid-for feature from an accepted consumer order without offering an appropriate remedy. Optional future tips, features, integrations and libraries are not included unless the order expressly says they are.

6. No guarantee of authenticity, value or legal status

FidusCheck is a screening and decision-support system. Results depend on the selected profile, item geometry, thickness, surface condition, plating, temperature, positioning, calibration, firmware, library quality, operator technique and other factors. A match, pass, “genuine” label, score or scan record is not a certificate and does not guarantee authenticity, purity, composition, provenance, ownership, legality, safety, market value or future performance.

Use multiple appropriate checks and professional judgement. High-value, disputed, unusual, damaged, mixed, plated, filled or legally sensitive items may require independent laboratory, assay, gemmological, horological or legal examination. Do not rely on FidusCheck as the sole basis for buying, selling, lending, insuring, reporting to authorities or making another irreversible decision.

7. Not professional, financial or legal advice

Website content, calculators, libraries, scans, marketplace prices, FidusAI responses and support information are general information, not legal, financial, tax, investment, accounting, laboratory or professional advice.

Metal prices, premiums, exchange rates, estimates and comparisons can change and may be delayed or incomplete. Obtain suitable independent advice and verify critical information before acting.

8. Accounts, eligibility and security

You must provide accurate information, keep it updated and protect your password, API keys, recovery details and connected devices. You are responsible for activity authorised through your account unless caused by our breach.

You must be at least 18 to sell through the marketplace, use precious-metal or Goldback payment-in-kind services, enter an age-restricted promotion or use a credit payment method, unless a specific service lawfully permits otherwise. We may require identity, age, ownership or authority evidence and may restrict duplicate, false, compromised or abusive accounts.

9. Orders and contract formation

An order submission is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt, not necessarily acceptance. A contract is formed when we send an acceptance or dispatch confirmation, begin supplying an agreed digital service, or otherwise expressly accept the order.

We may reject or cancel an order before acceptance for stock, pricing, payment, fraud, sanctions, legal, delivery or technical reasons. If we cancel after taking payment, we will return the affected amount using an appropriate method. We may limit quantities where reasonably necessary to prevent misuse or protect fair availability.

10. Prices, taxes, delivery and errors

Prices are shown in the stated currency. The total payable, including any applicable tax, delivery charge, discount, credit or payment-method adjustment, will be shown before you place the order. Any VAT is charged and invoiced only where legally applicable.

Obvious pricing, currency, description or calculation errors do not bind us. We will contact you before acceptance to offer the corrected terms or cancellation. A live metal-linked or crypto-linked figure may change until the price is locked or the transaction is accepted, as explained at the point of use.

11. Payment methods generally

Available methods may include cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, cryptocurrency, store credit, Klarna, Clearpay, Goldbacks, precious-metal credit or another method shown at checkout or agreed in writing. Availability may depend on country, order value, product, account status and provider rules.

Payment is due as shown at checkout. We may use third-party processors and carry out fraud, identity, sanctions or payment checks. You must use a payment method you are authorised to use. A method shown in marketing is not guaranteed to be available for every order.

12. Klarna and Clearpay

Where offered, Klarna or Clearpay provides a separate payment or credit service. FidusCheck is the merchant and is not the lender. Approval, eligibility, credit limits, instalment schedule, late-payment consequences, complaints about the finance agreement and any credit or affordability checks are controlled by the provider under its agreement with you.

You remain responsible for provider payments until the provider confirms that an order cancellation, return or refund has adjusted your plan. Contact FidusCheck first about the goods and use the provider’s return-reporting feature where available. We will submit approved refunds through the original provider route; a refund sent outside that route may not clear the provider balance. Provider terms shown at checkout also apply.

13. Cards, wallets and bank transfers

Card and wallet payments are subject to issuer and processor approval. We may place or request an authorisation and capture payment in accordance with the checkout information. A failed, reversed or disputed payment may suspend fulfilment or account access while investigated.

For bank transfer, use the exact reference and amount supplied. The order may remain unpaid until cleared funds are matched. Bank fees, conversion charges and transfer delays are your responsibility unless caused by us. Never send funds to bank details provided only through an unverified message; confirm any change through an official FidusCheck channel.

14. Cryptocurrency payments

Where cryptocurrency is accepted, the supported asset, network, amount, expiry and confirmation requirement will be shown or agreed. You are responsible for using the correct asset, network and address and for network fees. Transactions sent to an incorrect or unsupported network or address may be unrecoverable.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the order value is fixed in GBP when the crypto payment is accepted. Refunds are based on the GBP amount being refunded, not a later change in the crypto price, and may be returned in GBP, the original asset at a new conversion rate or another agreed method, subject to law and operational capability.

15. Goldbacks and other payment in kind

Goldbacks or another physical payment-in-kind method are accepted only where the checkout or a written quotation expressly allows it. They are treated as physical property valued in GBP for the transaction, not as UK legal tender. The quoted credit may depend on denomination, quantity, condition, authenticity, delivery, market conditions and our current acceptance policy.

No order is accepted on this basis until the items are received, checked and approved, unless we expressly agree otherwise. We may reject items that are damaged, altered, counterfeit, unverifiable or different from the description. For an approved cancellation or refund, the amount is the GBP value applied to the order, not the later metal or collector value. We do not guarantee return of the same individual Goldbacks once accepted and applied, unless agreed before acceptance.

16. Store credit, discounts and promotional credit

Store credit, discount codes and promotional balances have no cash value unless the issue terms or law require otherwise. They may be limited by account, product, date, region or minimum spend and must not be sold, copied, combined or abused.

Refunds first restore the amount actually paid through each method where reasonably possible. A promotional or bonus component may be removed or reissued according to its terms. We may correct a credit applied in error and suspend credit linked to fraud, chargeback or breach after reasonable investigation.

17. Live spot prices, estimates and price locking

Metal calculators, marketplace repricing and trade-in estimates may use external spot-price, currency or product data. Feeds may be delayed, unavailable, rounded or incorrect. An online estimate is not a binding purchase offer.

The binding valuation is the amount expressly confirmed after any required inspection and within any stated acceptance window. Premiums, deductions, refining assumptions, testing costs, postage and other relevant adjustments must be disclosed or agreed before the final transaction is completed.

18. Precious-metal credit and trade-ins

A displayed credit estimate is based on the information you provide and may change after weighing, testing and inspection. You confirm that submitted property is yours to dispose of, is not stolen, counterfeit or subject to another person’s rights, and is sent lawfully with an accurate description.

We may photograph, weigh, test, sample where agreed, verify identity or source, and make a final offer. You may accept or reject it within the stated period. If rejected, return costs, insurance and handling are as disclosed before submission, except where the need for return results from our error. We may refuse, retain or report items where required by law or a competent authority.

19. Ownership of accepted payment-in-kind items

Title to accepted precious metals, Goldbacks or other physical payment-in-kind items passes to us when we expressly accept the final valuation and apply the agreed credit or payment, unless the written quotation states another point. After that, the items may be combined, processed, sold or otherwise dealt with and the same physical items may no longer be available.

Cancelling the related product order does not automatically reverse a completed metal purchase. The refund will normally be the GBP amount credited to the order, using the method explained in the Refund and Returns Policy or otherwise agreed. This does not affect remedies for our breach or your non-excludable statutory rights.

20. Shipping items to FidusCheck

Follow the supplied packing, labelling, insurance and carrier instructions. Unless we arranged and accepted responsibility for collection, risk remains with you until the parcel is received at the designated address. The registered office should not be used unless we expressly instruct you to do so.

Use tracking and insurance appropriate to the full value and retain evidence of contents and dispatch. We are not responsible for inadequate packaging, prohibited shipments, customs declarations, carrier exclusions or loss before risk passes to us, except to the extent caused by us or otherwise required by law.

21. Delivery of FidusCheck products

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed. Risk in consumer goods normally passes when the goods come into your or your nominated recipient’s physical possession. Title passes when full cleared payment has been received, unless the law or a specific agreement provides otherwise.

Check delivery details before ordering. Additional charges arising from an incorrect address, refused import, unavailable recipient or unauthorised redirection may be charged where lawful. International customers are responsible for import duties and local taxes unless checkout expressly states that we will collect them.

22. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Consumer cancellation, return, fault and refund rights are explained in the Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Do not return goods, Goldbacks or precious metals to the registered office without instructions. Payment-method-specific processes apply to Klarna, Clearpay, cards, wallets, crypto, store credit and payment-in-kind transactions. We may withhold a change-of-mind refund until returned goods or satisfactory evidence of dispatch is received, as permitted by law.

23. Faults, warranty and support

Consumer goods must meet the standards required by law. Any voluntary manufacturer warranty is additional to statutory rights and will state its duration, coverage and exclusions. It does not cover fair wear, misuse, unauthorised repair, accidental damage, incompatible accessories, failure to follow instructions or consumable deterioration, except where the law says otherwise.

We may ask for diagnostic information, photographs, logs, remote troubleshooting or return inspection. Back up any exportable settings or data before service. Repair or replacement may involve firmware updates, recalibration, reset or data loss where reasonably necessary.

24. Software, firmware and digital services

FidusCheck software, firmware, cloud services, libraries, APIs and digital content are licensed, not sold, unless expressly stated. The licence is personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, revocable for breach and limited to permitted use with supported FidusCheck services.

Updates may fix faults, improve security, add or change features, maintain compatibility or meet legal requirements. Internet, account or subscription access may be required for some functions. We do not promise indefinite support for every device, integration or third-party platform, but will not remove paid consumer rights unfairly or without an appropriate remedy.

25. FidusAI

FidusAI is an automated information assistant and may produce incomplete, outdated or incorrect responses. It is not an official order confirmation, contractual promise, testing result, professional opinion or guarantee. Product pages, checkout details, your order record, written support confirmation and these terms take priority.

Do not submit unlawful content, confidential credentials, payment-card data, wallet private keys, unnecessary personal data or material you lack permission to use. We may use service providers to process prompts and may moderate, limit or suspend use for safety, security, abuse or legal reasons. Important decisions should be checked with a human and an appropriate professional.

26. Competitions and promotions

A competition, prize draw, giveaway, discount or promotion is governed by its specific rules, which should state the promoter, eligibility, territory, opening and fixed closing date and time, entry methods, entry limits, significant conditions, number and nature of prizes, winner selection, notification, claim deadline, leaderboard arrangements and publicity position. Those rules form part of these terms.

Prize-draw entries may be awarded through free account registration, qualifying orders or other methods stated in the specific rules. Where a promotion includes both a free-entry route and purchase-linked entries, both routes and the number of entries available through each will be stated prominently. No purchase is necessary where the promotion is advertised as having a free-entry route, and every valid entry is included in the same random selection on the same basis regardless of how it was obtained. A purchase does not guarantee or reserve a prize.

A published closing date will not normally be brought forward or extended. We may amend, suspend or end a promotion only where unavoidable circumstances outside our reasonable control make this necessary. Any material change will be communicated prominently, and we will take reasonable steps to avoid disadvantaging existing entrants.

Where disclosed before entry, a public leaderboard may display an entrant’s full name and total number of entries. We will not display email addresses, postal addresses, payment details or order details on the leaderboard. Limited winner information may also be published or made available as explained in the specific rules and Privacy Policy.

Entries may be rejected for ineligibility, duplication, automation, false information, manipulation or failure to satisfy the published method. We will not require a social action that the relevant platform prohibits and will not treat a private or unverifiable action as valid unless the rules provide a reliable verification method. Promotions are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by a social platform unless expressly stated.

27. Libraries, profiles and reference data

Libraries, item profiles, expected ranges, reference images and community data are decision-support materials. They may be incomplete, user-submitted, experimental, regional, model-specific or affected by manufacturing variation and counterfeit techniques.

Check that the selected profile matches the exact item and configuration. We may correct, withdraw or replace profiles. A “verified” profile means it has passed our stated review process; it does not guarantee every item tested against it or eliminate the need for independent checks.

28. Scans, labels, QR codes and public records

Scan records reflect the device, profile, settings and information available at the time. Labels such as match, pass, fail, genuine, suspicious or verified must be read with the detailed result and disclaimer. They are not certificates of authenticity or ownership.

Anyone publishing or sharing a scan must ensure the content is accurate, lawful and does not disclose unnecessary personal or confidential information. Demo or sample scans must be clearly identified. We may remove, annotate or restrict records that are misleading, unlawful, insecure or inconsistent with these terms.

29. Marketplace role

Unless a listing expressly identifies FidusCheck as the seller, the marketplace connects independent buyers and sellers. The listing seller is responsible for the item, description, title, legality, authenticity, price, delivery and any consumer obligations that apply to that seller.

FidusCheck screening data can support a transaction but is not a guarantee. We may provide listing tools, payment or messaging features, moderation and dispute assistance without becoming the owner, agent, auctioneer, valuer or guarantor of every listed item. Marketplace-specific rules and fees may also apply.

30. Dynamic marketplace pricing

A seller may choose a price linked to a reference metal price, premium or formula. Displayed figures can change automatically as data updates and may be rounded, delayed or temporarily unavailable. The checkout or accepted offer identifies the binding transaction price.

Sellers remain responsible for lawful and non-misleading pricing. FidusCheck may pause repricing, correct data errors or disable a listing where a feed fails or a displayed price is clearly erroneous.

31. User content, reviews and messages

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant FidusCheck a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting, display, distribute and use it as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote and improve the relevant service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for backups, transaction records, legal retention and copies already shared by others.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for submitted text, images, data and feedback. Content must not be false, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, discriminatory, dangerous, malicious, private without authority or otherwise unlawful. We may moderate or remove content and preserve evidence where reasonably necessary.

32. Intellectual property and patent notices

FidusCheck names, logos, designs, software, firmware, documentation, databases, interface elements, graphics and original content are owned by or licensed to H6B Ventures Ltd and protected by intellectual-property law. “Patent pending” means an application may have been filed; it is not a guarantee that a patent will be granted or that every feature is covered.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, extract, reproduce, resell, create competing datasets from, remove notices from or commercially exploit protected material except where law expressly permits or we give written permission. Feedback may be used without restriction or payment, but we will not claim ownership of your pre-existing confidential intellectual property merely because you provide feedback.

33. Acceptable use, API access and scraping

You must not attack, overload, bypass security or rate limits, scrape contrary to instructions, introduce malware, probe another user’s account, falsify scans or entries, manipulate prices, automate unauthorised purchases, misuse personal data, infringe rights or use FidusCheck for unlawful trade.

API access requires issued credentials and compliance with documentation and limits. We may rotate credentials, throttle or suspend access to protect security and service availability. You must promptly report suspected vulnerabilities and must not publicly exploit or disclose them in a way that creates avoidable harm.

34. Third-party services and integrations

FidusCheck may integrate with payment providers, lenders, wallets, price feeds, social platforms, couriers, AI providers, cloud services and other third parties. Their separate terms, availability, eligibility and privacy practices apply.

We are not responsible for an independent third party’s outage, decision, content or breach, but this does not exclude responsibility we have by law for choosing or managing a supplier acting on our behalf. We may change or discontinue an integration where necessary and will address material effects on paid consumer services fairly.

35. Availability, maintenance and changes

We aim to provide reliable services but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, security incidents, provider failures, connectivity, capacity, legal requirements and development work may cause downtime or reduced functionality.

We may update these terms prospectively. A change will not remove an already accepted consumer order right without a lawful basis. Material changes to an ongoing paid service will be notified where appropriate, and any cancellation or remedy rights required by law will be respected.

36. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account, listing, API key, competition entry or service access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, fraud, illegality, serious or repeated breach, risk to others or compliance with law. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and offer a chance to correct the issue or appeal.

Termination does not erase accrued payment obligations, completed transactions, intellectual-property rights, legal retention duties or provisions intended to continue. A consumer remains entitled to any refund or remedy required by law.

37. Liability to consumers

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory title rights or other non-excludable consumer rights.

Subject to that, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business loss suffered by a consumer, or for decisions made contrary to clear testing limitations and instructions where the loss was not caused by our breach. Nothing here makes a FidusCheck result a guarantee of an item.

38. Liability to business users

For business users, all implied terms are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated saving or data, or loss arising from reliance on a screening result without appropriate professional controls.

Subject to liabilities that cannot be limited, our aggregate liability arising from a particular order or paid service is limited to the greater of the amount paid for that order or service in the preceding 12 months and any higher minimum required by law. This limit does not apply to deliberate breach, fraud or liability expressly stated as unlimited.

39. Complaints and dispute resolution

Contact contact@fiduscheck.com with your order number, account details and a clear description of the issue. We will aim to investigate fairly and may request evidence, logs, photographs or return inspection.

If a complaint concerns a Klarna or Clearpay finance agreement, payment decision or regulated credit service, the provider’s complaints route may also apply. This section does not prevent a consumer from using statutory remedies, an applicable alternative-dispute process or the courts.

40. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. By providing an email address, telephone number or device connection, you agree to receive operational communications reasonably necessary for accounts, security, orders, support, recalls, warranty and legal notices.

Marketing is sent only where permitted and can be opted out of. Electronic notices are treated as received when sent to the latest contact details you supplied, subject to any mandatory rule that requires another form of notice.

41. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and non-contractual disputes are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom or another country, you also retain any mandatory protection and court rights given by the law applicable to you.

The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, but a consumer may bring proceedings in any other court that has mandatory jurisdiction. If part of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions continue so far as legally possible. No third party has a right to enforce these terms unless expressly stated or required by law.

42. Changes and contact details

The current version is published with its update date. Separate terms accepted for an order, finance agreement or promotion continue to apply to that transaction. Keep a copy of the version shown when you order.
